HP unveils new flagship latex printers at Fespa in Cologne

HP has launched two new flagship 3.2m-wide Latex printers at Fespa and revealed details of a new Scitex flatbed press, the 17000, targeted at corrugated applications.

The six-colour, 1,200 dpi HP Latex 3500 can produce 180sqm/hr in two-pass billboard mode down to 27sqm/hr in 18-pass backlit mode and can handle rolls up to 300kg. It uses 10 litre-ink cartridges.

Agfa Graphics participated at the Sign and Graphics Imaging Show with its full portfolio of products ranging from the RIP over print (printing machinery) to cutting (finishing machinery). The manufacturer used SGI as the global launch pad for its automatic cutting and finishing plotter Acorta.
