HP, Dubai Police host press conference against counterfeit products in ME

HP Middle East, in conjunction with Dubai Police organised a 'Roundtable Conference' at Emirates Towers in Dubai, to discuss the growing challenges posed by counterfeit products in the UAE.

Al Shabak initiates CSR drive for recycling used banners

Dubai based sign and digital materials trader, Al Shabak General Trading has launched a new campaign of recycling the used banner materials.

The company in association with substrate manufacturer Ferrari has setup a collection centre in Dubai. The company will collect any used coated banners from digital printers. The banners will be send to Italy where they will be reused in Ferrari production chains and other industries. The initiative is called as 'Texyloop'.

Sharjah based, Al Taawon Printing Press has taken over another Sharjah based Target Offset Printing Press.

CMS Printing invests in a lamination machine

UAE based CMS Printing Press has installed the D&K Proteus 72 thermal lamination machine in January this year.

HP to target inkjet web press market in MEMA with new appointment

HP has announced that Carl Boustany has been appointed HP IHPS segment specialist for Middle East, Mediterranean and Africa (MEMA) - Greece, Turkey, Africa and Middle East.

Based in Dubai, Boustany will provide support for the IHPS team within the MEMA region, promoting the HP T200 and the T300 Inkjet Web Presses. Following the success of these products in Europe, Boustany's role will be to further increase sales for IHPS and boost the conversion of analogue to digital in this region.


Omet enters the Gulf market with new regional distributor

Italian press manufacturer, Omet has signed a new distribution agreement with regional distributor, Ali Alhashemi.

Dubai based, pre-press and reprographics company Namma Int'l Digitec (NDigitec) has signed an agreement with EskoArtwork on the purchase of four CDI Spark 4835 digital flexo plate imagers, along with a range of software solutions.
