As the outcome of the Dubai Metro bid for the installation of some 400 digital screens is awaited, it has been revealed that Advertising Digital is one of the companies being considered.

This according to Media Week, which said an outcome for the bid was expected soon.

Advertising Digital’s managing director, Girish Mehta was quoted as saying that the company hoped a decision would be taken soon as the installation of some 100 digital screens would take at least a month. Kassab Trans Media was awarded the ad contract earlier this year.
Said Mehta: “We would provide 450 screens at various locations and if our company wins, we will market the use of the screens.”

He added that apart from displaying ads, the screens would also show information about connecting buses and trains as well as providing other traffic updates. Adventure Digital has also won a contract for building temporary bus stops in Al Ain.

Mehta said: “This is  a total turn key solution. We will be building tents used as bus stops all the way to printing and installing  kiosks and digital screens.”

The new tents will take up about 2,000 sqft and will  stand for around one and half years. The company will be also printing new bus passes.

Mehta said there would be other rail plans in the pipeline post Dubai Metro.
