HP MiddleEast launched 3 new large format printers and recycled bond papers in the regional market.

The 44-inch, Designjet T1200, is a front-loading top roll machine, which prints 2 rolls, 2A1-D, sized prints per minute.  While the T770 printer can print without opening any applications and the 24-inch T620 is designed for CAD/GIS applications.

Amin Mortazavi, general manager HP IPG in Middle East said, “We aim to maintain investments in research and developments and have introduced technologies that enhance speeds and that a printer understands.

“We waited until after GITEX to introduce these products in the market, to solicit the attention of our customers, partners and the media.  We usually enhance our products after receiving feedback from the end-users.”

HP will also be introducing bond papers with ColorPRO technology and recycled bond paper made from 100% recycled base paper.

The company also announced the expanded scope of its carbon footprint calculator, launched in May 2008.

The calculator can estimate energy consumption of a printer, estimated carbon dioxide emissions from electricity and paper production and associated costs.
