The Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) is satisfied with the quality of work done by Al Ghurair Printing and Publishing of Dubai in the ongoing printing of ballot papers for next month’s general elections.

ECZ commissioner Frederick Ngándu described the work done by Al Ghurair Printing and Publishing as excellent.

Dr Ngándu, who joined the team which is monitoring the printing of ballot papers for next month’s general elections and referendum, said he is impressed with the amount and quality of work done by the printing company.

“I have seen the typesetting, the printing, the stitching, the packaging and so on, I think it is an excellent job,” Dr Ng’andu said.

He said he is convinced that Al Ghurair Printing and Publishing is capable of delivering ballot papers on time.

Recently, representatives of political parties, the civil society and the faith-based organisations that make up the Zambian team here in Dubai, expressed satisfaction with Al Ghurair Printing and Publishing Company’s capacity to do an excellent job and the transparency of the printing process organised by the ECZ.

Dr Sikazwe, who is the team leader of what she refers to as ‘Team Zambia in Dubai’, said the referendum ballot papers have been packaged awaiting delivery to Zambia. Nine political parties are contesting the August 11 general elections at presidential level.
