Samsung South Africa releases new MFP. The OEM launched the X7600GX colour printer as an addition to the MX7 A3 series. The new MFP is part of the MultiXpress MX7 series, has a print speed of 60ppm and delivers “consistent, high-volume printing, reliability and quality”, reported ITonline. The printer offers near-field communication (NFC), and the OEM’s Mobile Print Pro offering “features provide secure printing and easy Wi-Fi setup and management”. It has a monthly output of 300,000 pages, and “saves on time and expense of having to change toner cartridges, drums and developer”. The laser beam scanning unit produces 1,200 x 1,200dpi “high quality” images as well. Mike Van Lier, director of the enterprise business division at Samsung Electronics South Africa, said: “Supported by MX7 series high-performance, cost-effective features and embedded security, the latest MFP offers high-volume and high-quality printing at a controlled total cost of ownership – ideal for price sensitive yet discerning local businesses seeking key components of a smart office environment.”
