Canon Middle East to showcase some of the finest indoor and outdoor signages along with an array of large format and flatbed printers among other solutions at SGI Dubai 2019. The show will be held from 13th – 15th January 2019 at Halls 4,5,6,7 and 8 of the World Trade Center in Dubai.

SGI Dubai is one of the most anticipated events in the signage and graphic imaging industry in the Middle East. It's one of the premier show in the signage, digital signage, outdoor media, metals and engraving, retail, screen and digital printing, LED and textile printing industries.

Ayman Aly, senior marketing manager, Canon Middle East said, “Sign and Graphic Imaging Middle East presents a great annual opportunity for us to showcase our latest innovations and inspire the industry stakeholders to boost their productivity, expand their applications portfolio, and access profitable new revenue streams. Being the largest exhibition of its kind in the Middle East, SGI is definitely a strategic event for Canon as it presents the opportunity to connect with our existing and potential customers and partners. For a wide range of signage and graphics businesses seeking profitable expansion, the event serves as a platform to introduce them to the full potential of Canon technology in producing both indoor and outdoor applications, including posters, banners, signage, POS, billboards, window graphics, decals and bespoke wall coverings.”

Talking about the development, Sharif Rahman, CEO of IEC said, “We are pleased to see the growing interest among international brands at SGI Dubai 2019. Leading names from across the region and beyond will showcase their most innovative technology and its applications. The journey so far would have not been possible without the support of all our esteemed exhibitors.”

In the previous edition of the event, Canon launched three new printers: the Colorado 1640 roll-to-roll UVgel outdoor product, a new 12-colour imagePROGRAF 6000 12, and a new 5-color pigment imagePROGRAF TX Series for both the Graphics and CAD/GIS Markets. Through live demonstrations of the capabilities of these products, they were able to capitalize on interest at the event, converting leads into successful sales.

“As the current printing and signage industry copes up with several challenges, opportunity still exists to those willing to evolve. Changing market potential, consumer requirements and demographic-driven trends has put pressure on customers in retail, hotel, event and catering spaces to evolve and differentiate their offering. Popularity of digital media consumption and rise of new technology such as augmented reality brings new and exciting prospect. Moving forward, print service providers will need to reinvent themselves with new ideas to keep operations, products, and services fresh and consistent with changing customer communications demands," added Ayman.
