Kodak’s Graphic Communication Group (GCG) has held a series of seminars in Luxor, Egypt to showcase its latest pre-press and digital printing product portfolio.

The event was also used as a forum to share the latest information on market developments.
Partners were also provided with the latest news relating to the company. This was at Kodak’s annual partner conference at the end of January.

The company staged presentations and workshops on different product groups and featured newspaper solutions, pre-press consumable solutions. Packaging and enterprise solutions were also discussed.

In addition, the company handed out special awards to certain partners.

Gulf Commercial Group (GCG) (UAE) won the ‘Advanced Kodak Digital Print Partner 2008’ award, Antalis (South Africa) won the ‘Complete Solutions Provider 2008’ award while GED Ltd (Bulgaria) landed the ‘Best Professional Partnership 2008’ and Design Print s.r.o (Slovakia) named ‘Drupa Champion 2008’.

“The event was a great success,” said sales director for CEEMEAF (Central East Europe Middle East Africa).

“Being able to get a really close look at the latest products means we can better support our customers and, ultimately, increase revenue opportunities.” These sentiments were also echoed by Kodak.

Peter Trampler, vice president of sales EAMER GCG, commented: “The event had a strong practical and commercial focus.”
