The high-visibility billboard is 170 metres long and 8 metres high, with flex face front lit technology being innovatively used.

“We pioneered the technology,” says Sandeep Nehra, chief operating officer, ENG East Africa.  “Samsung is our first client and they were so impressed with the idea, that they have signed up for two years.  The visible impact of the billboard has been such that we have received inquiries from several multinational companies including FMCG’s, to replicate the structure.”ENG established its regional office in 2007 and Nairobi will be the company’s regional headquarters.

ENG Kenya has acquired a significant number of outdoor billboard sites across Kenya in both small and large format structures which has attracted a list of high-profile clients, including Cadbury, Coke, Acer computers, Air Arabia, Econet, Orange Telkom, etc.

“We are designing structures that complement the African culture,” adds Nehra, “and ensure more effectiveness and brand recall. We have a lot of plans for Africa and we intend to enhance the expectations to greater heights.”

ENG Kenya has partnered with the City Council of Nairobi to install high quality benches in prime locations around the city under a public private partnership.

“The recession has affected us in Africa but not as much as the ME.  In fact, compared to Q-3, we are seeing an upturn in Q-4 this year.  The markets are fairly stable.”
