Kodak and its distributor in Egypt, Sidhom organized a road show in Cairo, announcing the launch of new products like the new process free plates Sonora, the NexPress with gold as fifth imaging and Flexcel packaging portfolio, in the region. Over 100 people participated in the event.
Tarek Nasr, commercial manager, Sidhom explained: “Egypt represents a big strength for us with 95 million people. It’s a very evolving and lucrative market for investors and print service providers. This was the aim behind organising the conference. We wanted to focus on Kodak’s presence in the Egyptian market and showcase all three verticals - Sonora XP process free plates, digital printing segment Kodak’s NexPress and the packaging sector with Flexcel NX system. There are different areas of interest that drive growth in Egypt following  changes in the country: the need to differentiate service offers to print buyers, complementing existing offset business by either digital printing or flexo as an example, increasing efficiency in prepress through workflow automation thanks to Kodak’s unified workflow solutions (for example- Prinergy production workflow or Insite prepress workflow) or streamlining production processes with state-of-the art prepress technology, like Sonora XP process-free plates.”
Talking about the show Tarek added, “The lively conference enabled us to discuss the technology and its benefits with SIDHOM and our customers and awake their interest. It allowed us to reply directly to our customers’ specific needs and requirements as we launched products and discussed the future of the printing landscape in Egypt.”
