MeadCo launches new software - ScriptX

UK based company MeadCo has launched ScriptX software for the printing and packaging industry.
According to MeadCo, ScriptX enables HTML pages, PDFs, labels, barcodes, wristbands, badges and more - basically any browser-hosted content - to be printed in a consistent format, from every networked Microsoft Windows computer.

OKI launches new A3 printer with white toner

OKI has launched a new A3 printer with white toner. The machine, the Pro8432WT, is a replacement for OKI’s current A3 white toner machine, the Pro9420WT, which launched in late 2012 and has now been decommissioned.
It was given its debut at Fespa and became available for purchase straight after the Hamburg expo for £6,249, which includes 13,000 pages’ worth of white toner and 4,500 pages’ worth of each of the other colours. The white toner initially supplied with the machine has been increased

Stora Enso mill shuts down

Stora Enso recently announced that it planned to permanently shut down paper machine 8 (PM8) at Kvarnsveden Mill in Sweden due to structural weakening of magazine paper demand in Europe. Co-determination negotiations with employees at the mill are still ongoing.
PM8 had an annual capacity of 100,000 tonnes of supercalendered (SC) uncoated magazine paper.

Corel launches upgraded graphics suite

Graphics software developer Corel has launched its CorelDraw Graphics Suite 2017. The new suite was launched on 11th April and is available for purchase or upgrade from the previous suite, CorelDraw X8, with shipping beginning on 18 April. CorelDraw has around 15 million users worldwide.

Digital textile specialist Kornit Digital has upgraded its flagship Avalanche direct-to-garment printer range by adding a recirculating ink system.
