OKI's E-64s Fespa debut

OKI Europe showing its recently launched E-64s ColorPainter machine at Fespa for the 1st time. The 64in (1.6m-wide) device, which is said to offer entry-level, environmentally aware printing, uses OKI’s high-pigment eco-solvent SX ink and supports the optimum level of colour at all print speeds for both indoor and outdoor applications.
It can handle substrates including back-/front-lit media, technical textile, wallpaper, canvas, hard PVC, banner and vinyl.
The maximum speed is 22.9sqm/hr

hubergroup to increase prices for varnishes and coatings

Agfa publishes year-end results, delivers mixed results for 2016

Agfa-Gevaert has posted mixed results for 2016; the group saw a 4.1% drop in revenue but a 1.7% jump in gross profit and a recurring Ebitda margin above 10% of revenue.
For the full year to December 2016 the group recorded revenue of €2.54bn, down from the €2.65bn recorded in 2015.
Recurring Ebitda – the sum of the Graphics, Healthcare, and Specialty Products divisions as well as the unallocated portion – improved from 9.1% of revenue in 2015 to 10.4% in 2016.

Croatian manufacturer Azonprinter has launched what it claims is the only wide-format UV-curable inkjet flatbed printer on the market that can print on objects up to 200mm in height.
The UV Matrix is available with immediate effect in sizes of 600x1,200mm (S) and 600x1,800mm (M) while the bed size of the UV Matrix Pro is 1,100x2,500mm (L).

Mimaki has made its Kebab module for printing cylindrical objects available for its new UV flatbed printers.

EFI has reported record full-year sales of $992.1m following a record fourth quarter but fell just short of its $1bn annual turnover target.
