Felix Schoeller Digital Media, a business unit in the Felix Schoeller Group, the  specialty paper manufacturer, has introduced its improved papers for solvent latex printing.
These optimised SLP papers, which are all coated with a solvent latex primer and now also with a special back coat, are certified for HP’s Latex 300 and 3000 series. Four products are available in a glossy or satin finish and grammages of 140 and 200 g/m² to suit different applications.
“Our aim is to ensure that our products always guarantee optimum printing results and excellent finishing properties. Our improved sign & display papers are further proof of this claim,” says Stefanie Liensdorf, product manager for sign & display graphics with Felix Schoeller Digital Media, of the new product development. “They are the next logical step in our focus on large-format printing. The recently developed back coat is in fact a thermal barrier. It protects the papers from drying out during the printing process, which is essential - especially for HP’s latest generation of latex machines. The result of this product development is consistently fast drying without any paper curl, which guarantees trouble-free printing. The process prevents any contact with the print head or the heat unit.”
The products can be used at POS for signage, exhibition graphics or posters. Their wet strength means that the papers are also suitable for outdoor use. They are PVC-free. Profiles are therefore available on the HP Media Solution Locator.
Since July 2013 the Felix Schoeller Group has been the official premium paper partner of the German Olympic team.
