Addressing the event Komal Sharma, MD & VP sales MEA, Kodak briefed on the on going reorganisation, restructuring of their packaging endeavours and their new partnership with Grapholine . " Packaging is the fastest growing category in the printing industry whether its on the digital side, offset, or flexo, the consumer industry had gone major transformation and there is been a major change in the way things look, so Kodak has to keep up to it, and our major share will now focus on graphic communication as we go forward". "Going forward we know Digital print solutions is where more of our inventory will be invested, with focus on flexible and functional printing"

Kris Capiau, packaging segment manager, Kodak who pictorially explained how the exclusion of oxygen from attacking the polymer on plate engravings gives a Flat Top Dot and helps achieve a better print. Capiau also explained the Kodak's Square Spot imaging technology and the sustainability issues resolved by the new Flexcel technology like reduction in total number of plates and in the printing substrate waste on press. Benjamin, associate editor of the recently launched Packaging MEA magazine shared insights on the calibre that the packaging industry has 'Innovate or fall behind' he quoted.

Other speakers were from Grapholine, Imran Abdullah director, Salmaan Manager of sales and sharing his success story Asif Farooqui from Shaan foods enthusiastically expressed his delight of working with Kompass and Kodak.
