Intec Printing Solutions has unveilded a raft of new product launches during Packaging Innovations and Ipex events.
At Packaging Innovations the firm provided a sneak peak of its new CS5000 printer, ahead of its official launch at Ipex. The      is a five-colour printer that offers users a choice of CMYK plus white or clear toner. The 50 ppm, SRA3 device can also print banner lengths of up to 1.3m, onto stock ranges up to 400gsm.
Head of PR and marketing Terri Winstanley said it was simple for users to switch between the two additional toner options. “There’s a special kit and it’s incredibly quick to switch from clear to white,” she said.
The CS5000 also has a sister machine, the CS4000, which has the same spec but is limited to CMYK.
A range of feeders and stackers for handling different media types, such as envelopes, board and polyester substrates, is also available. Ipex will be the official launch for the new printers. Meanwhile Packaging Innovations was the launch platform of the firm’s LCF215 label finishing system.
The roll-to-roll system has been manufactured in America to Intec’s specification. It includes a knife cutter able to cut any label shape, a lamination applicator, and a five-blade slitting system.
“We are bundling it together with our Edge 850 label printer as a complete solution, or it can be used as a standalone finisher to work with existing label printers,” Winstanley said.
