Agfa launched their new solvent printer: Jeti 3348 HSS

Agfa participated in SGI this year launching their Jeti 3348 HSS which integrates the company's revolutionary new TurbTech drying technology. Company claims that the solvent printer is the fastest 3.25 m roll-to-roll printer in its class. Manufacturers of ink for inkjet printing, Ink Bank participated at the SGI with all their latest products including quick drying inks which could be used with Epson, Mimaki, Mutoh and Roland.

Viswanathan said: "This machine is showcased first time in ME now. One of the largest paper converters Paper Master and International Paper participated in Paper Arabia for second time. The company launched their NCR paper range during the show.

The third edition of Paper Arabia held at Dubai International Exhibition and Convention Centre, hosted 115 companies from 25 countries. This year's show had over 6,000 trade visitors, an increase of 16.6%, say the organisers.

Press manufacturer Ryobi unveiled its B2 750G press for the first time in Europe at Ipex.

The new model in the 750 Series range boasts an increased speed of 16,000sph and incorporates a number of features from Ryobi's B1 press, such as a collapsible skeleton transfer drum and an air glide plate system to ensure that thicker substrates are smoothly fed through the machine.

The print recovery has started, according to exhibitors at Ipex 2010, who said that the success of the show heralded a fight-back by the industry.

HP has unveiled a second inkjet web press, the T200, to compete in the 2-up monochrome toner replacement market currently served by Infoprint, Kodak, Oce, Screen and Xerox.

Heidelberg is to use Ipex as the worldwide springboard for a new B1 press, the 16,500 sheets-per-hour Speedmaster CX 102.

Konica Minolta will showcase flagship Bizhub C8000 at Ipex

Konica Minolta will launch a new flagship model for its Bizhub Press range at Ipex, the C8000 high-speed colour digital press.

The digital press, which can output up to 80 colour prints a minute, will be previewed at the event and is set to become commercially available "later in 2010".

According to Konica Minolta, the Bizhub Press C8000 can print at a resolution of up to 1200dpi using the manufacturer's new Simitri HD toner, which it claims can produce ultra fine quality prints.
