Flex Europa will unveil Dimensor-S, a new 3D wallpaper printing solution from Lithuania-based Dimense Company at The Hotel Show 2019  (Index section), slated to take place between 17-19 September 2019 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

According to Flex Europa’s business development manager Vijay Chandran, Dimense is the first printer to simultaneously print and create structure for bespoke, creative graphic designs especially suited to the production of bespoke wallpaper. “The innovative nature of Dimense whereby the ink creates the structure, recently won the European Digital Press Association award for ‘Best Wallpaper Solution 2018’ at FESPA 2018 in Berlin,” he said.

Chandran added: “Dimense offers output with high light-fastness, scrub resistance and is C1 fire rated, making it perfect for high traffic areas such as hotels, retail and corporate environments. Speeds of up to 20sqm/hr can be achieved with a print width of 1.6m. Dimense is an environmentally friendly technology based on latex eco-friendly inks and PVC-free structure-forming Ecodeco media.”

Talking about the 3D wallpaper printer’s Unique Selling Proposition (USP), Chandran said: “Dimensor-S has the capability to print and control structure simultaneously, in other words, create an embossed effect on the wall paper to a raised level of up to 1mm. The complete solution consists of wallpaper printing equipment and printing substrates (media) and inks under the brand Dimensor-S from Europe. It combines wide-format inkjet printing and digital calendar in one dedicated device. The printer uses reliable wide-format inkjet technology for printing. It also uses water-based latex inks and environment-friendly Ecodeco media substrates. The feature of embossed printing on flexible media has been achieved for the first time in this industry, after several years of R&D and rigorous testing of the substrates and inks. The low running cost of printing on the Dimense-S is on par with the current branded large-format digital printers. This printer is positioned in the interior design and decoration industry, which would like to offer something new and unique to their clients in the area of wall-coverings.”

This is the first time that the company will be a part of the show. When asked what the company is expecting from the show, Chandran said: “We know the visitors will be impressed with the impact of embossed 3D effect on walls as this is an entirely new concept in wallpaper printing. They would instantly realize the potential of expanding their offerings to their clients to create moods, visual effects and different expressions in hotel rooms, event venues, showrooms, trade shows, shop-in-shops, receptions, foyers, etc. We are also hoping to draw interest from print-for-pay companies, which traditionally offer total printing solutions in digital printing and signage. They could use the Dimensor printer to add value to their business by offering an innovative output never seen in the market until now.”
