Durst launches its new Alpha series textile printers

Durst has launched a new series of multi-pass textile printers, aimed at the digital production of home textiles and fashion.

   The Alpha series is available in two widths; the 1.9m-wide Alpha 190, for fashion applications, and the 3.3m-wide Alpha 330, for decor textile applications.

The machines can be configured with up to eight colours (CMYK plus special colours, dependent on ink type) and 64 Alpha-S printheads that achieve a native resolution of 600dpi and a print speed of 460m/hr (linear) on the Alpha 330 and 610m/hr on the Alpha 190.

The Alpha series machines are available to order with immediate effect and the first installation will be in January 2016. Prices range from $435,220  to $652,830 for the Alpha 190 and from

Inca Digital launches modular Onset X series

Inca Digital has launched the new Inca Onset X series of wide-format flatbed UV inkjet printers. The Onset X series comprises three models: the X1, X2 and X3.

Each Onset X series printer is based on a new common scalable architecture platform that features a larger 25-zone vacuum table and UV control system, to eliminate masking, as well as a carriage that can incorporate up to 14 ink channels.

Epson to introduce new LFP’s at SGI 2016

Epson will launch its new Large Format Printers (LFP) in signage and dye sublimation series at SGI 2016 in Dubai.

Azonprinter reveals A1 machine for thick materials

Azonprinter has launched what it calls an “evolutionary” new-generation A1 UV LED machine that can print on materials up to 100mm thick.  The Mason has a maximum printing area of 590x700mm with specially designed bulk ink tanks with ink monitoring sensor to increase printing capacity.

    Azonprinter said that each of the six bulk ink tanks holds 500ml and is easy to handle, and that out-of-box installation provides safety and the ability to refill tanks from ink bottles to reduce running

    The first ever 3D printing conference cum exhibition ‘3D Print UAE’ took place on 17th and 18th August 2015 at Dubai World Trade Centre, UAE which attracted a number of like-minded 3D Printing professionals from over 40 nations.

    3D Print UAE exhibition cum conference is a concept aimed at providing a broad scale platform for the manufacturing sector and consumer world across the ME region. 

    3D Print UAE gave an opportunity for the additive manufacturing experts from across the globe to converge on this regional platform to showcase their solutions, analyze the benefits and discuss the opportunities in the Middle East.
