BLUE RHINE

 

Blue Rhine showcased products from their new principals Aslan, along with other manufacturers. Anand Joseph, general manager said, “This new partnership for the whole of GCC region, will help us compete with established names like 3M, Mactac and Avery. Another brand that we are promoting is Germany based Intercoat. We are representing them in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman and UAE. Through both these distributorships we are fully equipped to compete with high end brands. We have innovative products like magnetic films, frosted glass, self adhesive black board and opaque white board films. It was an extremely busy show for us. We had a lot of visitors from GCC, Bahrain, Kuwait among others.”

Seiko participated in SGI with their distributors Graphic International, showcasing neon inks. Giffin Graphics participated in the SGI showcasing their newly launched Durst and Xanté LFprinters. The newly launched Xanté Excelagraphix 4200 Inkjet Print System features Memjet Waterfall Printhead Technology that delivers more than 3 billion drops of ink per second, for print speeds up to 8 times faster than traditional inkjet technology. With up to 305mm per second at 1600 x 800 dpi the printer uses dye-based aqueous inks. It can print on up to  9.5mm thick materials including foam board

Canon presented new line-up of LFP models aimed at the Graphic Arts and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) industries. Canon’s stand was divided into zones with the objective of showing end-to-end solutions. Al Mahir participated in the SGI this year launching new UV flatbed printer from Azon, Croatia based manufacturer. The new UV printer can print on to substrates up to 20 cm height.     The first ever 3D printing conference cum exhibition ‘3D Print UAE’ took place on 17th and 18th August 2015 at Dubai World Trade Centre, UAE which attracted a number of like-minded 3D Printing professionals from over 40 nations.

    3D Print UAE exhibition cum conference is a concept aimed at providing a broad scale platform for the manufacturing sector and consumer world across the ME region. 

    3D Print UAE gave an opportunity for the additive manufacturing experts from across the globe to converge on this regional platform to showcase their solutions, analyze the benefits and discuss the opportunities in the Middle East. It also provided the opportunity for a listen- in to first-hand experience from industry leaders, connect solutions for overcoming challenges in the field, and enhance the brand and  business portfolio. 

     Steffan Ritt, VP-head of global marketing and communications, SLM Solutions Group commented:  “Since, this is the first kind of event in this region, it has attracted less number of visitors. However, the visitors and participants were more positive. Overall, the show went fairly well for us but we would have been happier if the organizers promoted the event well in advance.”  SLM Solutions were one among the gold sponsors of the event.

    Most of visitors commented that these kinds of exhibitions and conference should be encouraged to create more awareness about the 3D printing in this region.
