Other: Atlantic Zeiser present new curing method
Atlantic Zeiser Group demonstrated the new eco-friendly air-cooled UV LED curing module, SMARTCURE AIR, and the innovative UV LED curing system, SMARTCURE at Interpack.
According to information received, the new systems cure UV inks in an environment friendly manner, there is an absence of ozone emissions, reduced need for ventilation and cooling, and their operating life that outlasts lamp-based systems by a factor of one to ten. The SMARTCURE AIR doesn't require any coolant, and offers air-cooled UV LED curing with the 'highest' irradiance available through its thermal management and compact design.
At Interpack 2011, Atlantic Zeiser presented the combination of air-cooled SMARTCURE AIR 20/200 with an OMEGA 20/25 DoD inkjet printer that meet the legal requirements of the pharmaceutical industry for coding and serialization of pharmaceutical products and packages, enabling pharmaceutical companies to cost-effectively print variable data and information.
An advantage of the LED technology is the power-up process, which can be measured in milli-seconds.
