Other: Kodak adds features to Magnus 800 CtP

Kodak has announced that it has enhanced the features of its Magnus 800 Platesetter.

Among the new features are the 27% increase in throughput and new power save mode, which combined with WINDOWS 7 support, gigabit Ethernet connectivity to Kodak Prinergy Workflow, 'improved' remote support capabilities including remote on/off increasing operation flexibility, and a new design, make the device even more efficient and user friendly say the manufacturers.

"With the new features introduced at Drupa, the Magnus 800 becomes an even more potent tool for plate production," said Rich Rindo, general manager, Worldwide Graphics Marketing and vice president of Graphics, Entertainment, and Commercial Film, Kodak. "When paired with the new Kodak Sonora XP Process Free Plates, customers have a reliable, high-quality, environmentally responsible solution to drive business growth in their operations."

Magnus 800 is designed for medium and large commercial printers needing high-quality imaging and was displayed at Drupa this year.

"Kodak is continually developing new features and new models to keep up with the changing demands of print markets around the world," added Rindo.
