Print waste management specialist J&G Environmental has launched its own range of specialist pressroom consumables.

The service, which went live in January, will see the business market a range of print consumables under the JAG Products brand.

Founts, Fogra-approved washes, IPA, plate cleaners and blankets will eventually be on offer, while a range of inks are due to be added to the catalogue later.

It will be the first time that the business, best known for pioneering sustainable waste management in the industry, has attempted direct selling of products to print companies.

John Haines, GM said: “In effect, we’ll deliver your consumables and then take away the empties as part of our recycling programme.”

According to Haines the company’s eventual aim is to create an environmental ‘circular service’ in which the business first supplies consumables and then collects waste containers and packaging in readiness for recycling and reuse.

“It’s a blanket they’ve been after for years because it’s as environmentally friendly as this sort of product could be. We’ve already had one leading packaging company order six of these on trial.”
