
Giffin Graphics showcased for the first time the new Ricoh Pro L4100 large format printer during Gulf Print and Pack exhibition
According to the manufacturer, the Ricoh Pro L4100 series uses environmentally friendly aqueous latex ink, with much lower levels of VOC compared to petroleum-based inks and has no odour and the low curing temperature of 60°C ink enables both quick drying, for a fast job turnaround, and the ability to print on many heat-sensitive substrates without damaging them.
“We have been a major player in region’s large format printing market for many years and our cooperation with Ricoh which dates back to 2011. Ricoh’s flagship large format printer is a perfect tool for commercial and digital printers to generate even more revenue stream for their business,” enthuse Alexander Najem, Giffin Graphics manager for machinery division.
Ricoh Pro L4100 series supports various configurations including 4 (CMYK), 6 (CMYK plus orange and green) and 7 (CMYK plus white, orange and green) colour. The new roll-to-roll large format printer will be available in 130 cm (53 inch) or 160 cm (63 inch) widths. Other features include support for array of media such as PVC, tarpaulin, synthetic paper, coated-paper, uncoated paper, film and textiles and allows the use of lighter weight substrates, thus reducing overall costs, including shipping.
