Dubai based paper converter and printing press, Quality Printing Press has invested in the Ricoh Pro C7100x through Giffin Graphics.

Speaking about the investment, Sandeep Bhatia, managing director of Quality Printing Press, commented, “We saw many machines like Kodak’s Nexpress, MGI’s and Ricoh’s Pro C7100x in the Gulf Print & Pack but we were pretty impressed with the performance of the Ricoh machine which made us to invest in this digital machine. Also, the support from Giffin Graphics was very good and they are swift in delivering the machine immediately. The other main reason behind this investment is to accommodate all short run requirements.”

He further added about the automated cutters and machine features, “Earlier we were using manual die cutter and now we are using laser and acrylic cutters as well as we are now directly printing on the surfaces like wood, acrylic, glass, and many more flat materials. Likewise, this machine has the new 5th colour station including clear gloss and white toner can offer new applications and can deliver a premium finish, it can print speeds up to 90 pages in a minute, and many more are their added advantages.”

He finally added, “We have recently resumed our Paper conversion on our own which was previously called ‘Free Style’ and it is going better than before. We will be expanding this paper conversion business in the next couple of years with more aggressive plans. We have closed down multiple operations and jumped into one to make the profit more worthwhile. We were always growing from the day we started but some difficulties were there and managed to overcome that with few innovative ideas. In addition, we have been doing a CEO’s group meeting where more than 25 plus companies are participating it on every Sunday to discuss the happenings and how to develop the industry which is also helping all of us and believe we all will grow through it. As a group we are planning few more networking groups which we believe will help our industry as well as the individuals.”
