KSA-based Zeej Printing Press has invested USD 100,000 in the purchase of C8000, the digital press from Konica Minolta.
This is the first of such printer in KSA.
Ahmed Siddiqui, director of branches - Zeej Printing says, "It is a production machine with a fine quality output. It supports up to 350gsm media and provides satisfactory results. We needed the latest technology to cope with the needs of our customers. Also since we reached maximum potential in our production capacity and wanted to penetrate new markets, we decided to increase capacity with this new buy. The digital printer supports thick stocks with higher speed and high resolution images output."
Established in 2003 by Abdulaziz Al-Omran, Zeej Printing specialises in digital printing catering to print orders of business cards, brochures, flyers, offering professional binding options including fancy binding.
The printshop has 9 branches across Saudi Arabia and owns Xerox iGen4, two DC5000's, a DC8000 and ten KM Bizhub C6500, C7000 and C8000 as well as some mono, ID cards and wide format printers. The company employs a staff of 100 people.
Talking of their expansion plans, Siddiqi says, "For sure we always think of expanding. We tend to bring new technologies in Zeej so we can serve our customers better. We also want to improve our newly added services like photo albums, etc."
Starting their first branch in Riyadh, Zeej has plans of expanding into major cities in KSA. On the subject of the impact of the global recession on their company, Siddiqi explains, "Being a Riyadh based printer the effect was not so bad. But keeping away from the price war is a challenge today. In my opinion, we will see a rapid growth in the short run demand in future."
