Other: API Foils expands its metallic foil range

API Foils has added nine colours to its MH metallic foil range, taking the number of standard options up to 30.

The range, which was designed for use with recycled paper and card, now includes a choice of bronze colours, which the manufacturer said is becoming more popular in the drinks industry, in addition to golds, silvers and metallic colours.

API Foils has also introduced other colours such as oasis copper, hint of lilac, magenta and frost blue which are predominantly aimed at the greetings cards market.

The MH range is aimed at all printers using rotary, cylinder and platens printing systems and working on uncoated or textured substrates. It features a heavy coat weight of adhesive, a low activation temperature and an easy release. It is also suitable for coated substrates, most ink types and varnishes and applications that combine foiling with embossing.

API Foils managing director Will Oldham said: "By expanding our MH metallic foil colour range, we are confident that it will not only provide a more versatile, reliable and higher quality solution for these uncoated substrates, but also provide designers and brands with far more scope to be creative and innovative."

API Group operates 14 facilities worldwide and employs around 500 people. Associated Paper Industries (API) was established in the 1950. The group's products are used in a variety of applications like packaging materials for use in the luxury goods, food and consumer products sectors and a broad range of security applications for use in tamper-proof and tamper-evident packaging.
