Canon announced that it has received seven Winter 2014 ‘Pick of the Year’ awards, three ‘Environmental Outstanding Achievement’ and two ‘Energy Efficiency’ awards from testing and research organisation, Buyers Laboratory (BLI).
“We’re proud to have been recognised once again in BLI’s Pick of the Year awards and the distinction of this including elements from our laser, MFD, solutions and MPS offerings makes this all the more rewarding,” comments Hendrik Verbrugghe, marketing director, Canon Middle East. “Understanding well the rigorous testing that BLI carries out, we couldn’t be more pleased to have the quality and reliability of our portfolio commended in this way”.
BLI has found that Canon’s A4 line of i-SENSYS and imageRUNNER ADVANCE printers and MFPs exhibited an energy consumption of between 35 and 62 per cent lower than average. “Canon has proven again that its A4-size document imaging products are the environmental choice for energy-conscious consumers,” said Pete Emory, BLI’s manager of laboratory testing.
Canon’s black-and-white imageRUNNER ADVANCE devices gained recognition for their quick output speeds, scan features and intuitive, easy-to-use control panel. Whereas Canon uniFLOW V5.2 has won BLI’s 2014 ‘Outstanding Output Management Solution’ award.
