
Konica Minolta has been awarded with a position on the A List of “The CDP Climate Performance Leadership Index 2014 (CPLI) for “its commitment to reducing carbon emissions”.
Konica Minolta joined the CDP index along with 187 listed companies identified as demonstrating a superior approach to climate change migration and illustrated that a low carbon future is possible.
Konica Minolta launched a medium-term Environmental Plan for 2016, which is included in the Eco Vision 2050, a set of long-term aims of preventing global warming & promoting resource recycling.
CDP is an international, not-for-profit organization providing a global system for companies to measure, disclose, manage and share vital environmental information.
Paul Simpson, CEO of CDP, said: “Greenhouse emissions continue to rise and we face steep financial risk if we do not mitigate them. For this reason we congratulate companies that have achieved a position on CDP’s Climate Disclosure Leadership Index.”
Earlier in 1992, Konica Minolta was awarded the Blue Angel mark in the field of copying and another award for the developer of the world’s first polymerised toner with biomass (2002).
