Hybrite Preprint is a ‘new age’ preprint paper from Asian Pulp and Paper. It was launched in association with Regraph at an event held at Sheraton Creekside in Dubai this July.
The launch event was hosted by Suneet Sood, regional sales director - MEA starting with a welcome address while Anil Sharma, head of product entrepreneur department gave a presentation on Hybrite Preprint. Sharma explained, “It’s a premium uncoated wood free paper for offset & subsequent sheeting for inkjet/ laser printing. Highlights of the product include its dimensional stability, high brightness (98±1%ISO), high whiteness (165±3% CIE), optimal smoothness & excellent opacity. Printing results are fantastic & obvious with excellent print contrast & clarity, uniform toner transfer & ink absorption, quick ink drying time for subsequent printing & great for double side printing. It is a single product for multiple printing applications like offset, laser, inkjet and photo copying.”
“Hybrite preprint is ISO 9706 certified for long life archival. It comes with wide range of substances 70 to 120 GSM and is available in rolls as well as sheets. Among the applications suitable for this paper are billing statements, invoices, business forms, letter heads, annual reports, promotional materials & catalogues”
APP also its announced Sustainability Roadmap Vision 2020, that it said outlines its sustainability targets for the next decade and beyond. Suneet Sood added, “APP is committed to an immediate cessation of natural forest clearance throughout its supply chain in February 2013. Our pulp mills stop receiving natural forest wood felled prior to February 1st 2013. APP would stop using timber from Indonesia’s natural forests and use only trees from plantations forests.” he emphasized. “NGOs are invited to monitor this through an independent observer programme.”
