UAE based distributor of paper Gimpex celebrates the 20th anniversary of reselling Magno, fine coated papers manufactured by Sappi, in the Gulf region.

     Elias El-Wadi, general manager of  Gimpex commented: “The sales of Magno in our market has increased more than 200% since we started. Magno is the only European art paper that is available consistently in all the ranges from 90 to 400g in silk and gloss finish, either locally from our stock and directly from the mill via Gimpex.”

    Located at International Media Production Zone (IMPZ), free zone company Gimpex has been distributing wood-free, coated art paper, carbonless paper, duplex and grey board among others.  

  “We have been distributing other papers from Sappi as well including Quarto ( which is a B grade in WFC paper)  and other specialty papers, but we mainly sell Magno.  It is having the best coating in gloss and silk surface, very good brightness and the printer can achieve excellent printing quality with this paper. It has good environmental credentials since it is FSC certified.  Though we sell the papers in  the entire Gulf market including Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman; it is in the UAE that the largest quantity is sold, since customers in the UAE are more quality conscious.”

   Gimpex also launched a range of static papers made of polypropylene film, E-Tag, in the Middle East region, a few months ago.
