To recognize the quality of OCTAL’s operations at their PET Sheet Plants in Oman, the clear rigid packaging material suppliers have been awarded the certification for production excellence.

The company was given a coveted internationally-recognized AA rating following a recent rigorous audit of their Salalah facilities against the requirements of British Retail Consortium Global Standard for Packaging and Packaging Materials Issue 5.

OCTAL CEO Nicholas Barakat said: “This level of certification rewards OCTAL’s level of commitment to excellence and recognizes the quality, safety and compliance of our products and plant procedures. By awarding OCTAL the highest rating achievable to the packaging industry, the British Retail Consortium has recognized we put customers first and operate to the highest standards. The achievement is a credit to the hard work and dedication of our team.”

The certification award followed the news earlier this year that OCTAL were investing $50 million on expanding their PET sheet business in the Sultanate.
