Imam Mohamed Bin Saud Islamic University has taken ownership of a four-colour Roland 50.
The company is the “first” in KSA to opt for the XXL sheetfed offset machine in the 36/52 format. The machine has been running since July this year.
Imam Mohamed Bin Saud Islamic University is a Riyadh-based government printing company. It produces business stationery and full-colour university books, special printing techniques such as hard covers and foil stamping of small-format products.
The company decided to purchase the Roland 50 due to its design features and its ability for flat sheet travel over double-diameter impression cylinders and transferters. The printing system is also able to process substrates up to 0.8mm thick
Saudi-Arabia’s Hoshan Company Ltd and Kodak have signed a distribution deal allowing Hoshan to offer sales and service support for several Kodak products.
These include unified workflow solutions, pre-press and electrophotographic printing solutions.
Hoshan’s printing division will target professional print houses, corporate organisations, in-house printing departments, universities, utilities companies, banks, copy centres and stamp makers.

Project manager at 14th October, Ahmed Moataz said: “We operate a Goss Community press and are confident in its print quality so we had no hesitation in ordering a second press.”
The new press will be configured as two four-high and two two-high towers with six reelstands and a Goss
