Xerox launches 2 digital presses for commercial printing jobs
Xerox has announced two new digital print engines aimed at in-plants, high street and commercial printers producing jobs ranging from photobooks and brochures to DM and catalogues.
The Xerox Color J75 and C75 combine duplex printing, copying and scanning with a range of finishing options with worldwide availability slated for 1st March 2013.
Xerox said the Color C75 was aimed at those looking to start or expand a digital print business, while the J75, which will be shown at Graphics of the Americas (GOA) in Orlando, FL from 21-23 February, is aimed at commercial print shops producing high-volume, high-value applications.
Both printers are capable of printing and copying at 2,400dpi on a range of coated and uncoated stocks from 64-300gsm at

Fujifilm launches corrugated onslaught with enhanced ink
Fujifilm plans to drive the digitisation of corrugated board print market by improving the productivity and cost effectiveness of digital print for higher volume work with new ink and hardware
Fujifilm recently unveiled a prototype corrugated board handling kit for the Inca Onset S40i, a productivity enhancement package for the flatbed printer called Accelerator, and Uvijet OC, a new ink for paperboard printing. The new products are the culmination of a two-year project.

Fujifilm Dimatix targets textile market with StarFire printhead
Fujifilm Dimatix has unveiled the StarFire SG-1024/M-A printhead, which it claims offers textile printers superior ink-jetting performance.
The SG-1024/M-A is the latest addition to Dimatix's 1024-channel family of StarFire printerheads.
It features a robust and repairable construction with a high nozzle density in a compact package suited for demanding scanning and single-pass applications. Its construction is designed to withstand the harsh environment of industrial textile production.
