Qatar based, Quick Print Center has invested 450,000 Qatari riyals to purchase its first CtP from Heidelberg, the Suprasetter 75 along with Glunz & Jensen InterPlater, the suprasetter environmental online processor and signastation impostion software.

Press manager, Ayman Ahmed Elshini says, "The machine has been operational since 2 months and we are fully satisfied with its performance, quality and speed. Heidelberg sent 3 engineers to train our staff. Before deciding on the investment, I visited Heidelberg's factory in Germany. I also intend to go for Drupa, since we plan on further investments and expansions."

Quick Print Center are commercial printers established 13-14 years ago, catering to government agencies, banks like HSBC, hotels like Sheraton among its esteemed clients.

Specialising in all print jobs from business cards, flyers, brochures to magazines, the printshop owns another press by the name of Speedline Printing Press. "We work 24/7, in 3 shifts and currently have 120 employees. Our annual turnover is 10-15 million Qatari riyals and we own the 4-colour Speedmaster, the 4- colour and 2-colour GTO, the 2-colour Komori, hot and cold lamination machine, spot-UV, die-cutting and folding machines among others."

He added, "The investment in the CtP was meant to upgrade our prepress division, and meet with customer delivery schedules."
