What does the machine do?
The TruePress 344 is a 2 page-up four-color offset printing press. Using the traditional wet offset printing process the Truepress 344 ensures high-quality prints on a wide range of substrates.
Why did you choose this particular machine?All of the features of the Truepress 344 are designed to suit the on-demand printer without compromising print quality or limiting the types of substrates that can be used. On press imaging enables a first generation digital dot on the plate, ensuring high color quality in print and registration.
Did you look at other similar machines? And which ones?We looked at similar machines but found out that this press suits our requirements.
Which features do you particularly like?We liked the flexibility of the Truepress 344 which is an offset press that offers many advantages of digital printing. For example, we can create everything from direct mailing materials to CD and DVD jackets, tickets, leaflets, catalogues etc. Its use of traditional printing methods provides the superior quality of wet offset printing and its high-speed output enables high productivity, making it flexible enough to meet our wide variety of customer needs.
Is there anything you dislike or wish it had?So far we did not find anything and satisfied with the output.
How fast is it?It can print onto paper ranging from 90 x 148 mm to 340 x 470 mm, at 7000 impressions per hour speed.
How reliable is it?The press is quite stable and durable. The performance is also been reliable.
What is the quality like and what kind of response have you had from your clients?The quality is consistent because of tool viz., TrueFit Advance which is an automatic print quality management system that provides real-time analysis of ink levels. Calibrated to the data from the printing image data, the system cross-references the original file data to provide accurate setup. Thereafter, it scans and analyzes printing data every six sheets. Based on the analyses, it assists in adjusting ink keys and water dampening supply levels to ensure consistent quality from the beginning to the end of the print run.
How easy is it to use?There is a new automatic paper positioning adjustment system that makes operation easier. The operator simply enters the paper thickness, type and size on the central command console and the system calculates the adjustments specific to the substrate characteristics.
How much time or money has it saved?We can print with standard inks and paper, plus the use of chemical-free plate processing provides a low consumable cost. The cost per job at run lengths of 250 to 10,000 sheets is very competitive.
Would you say that it offers value for money?With the fast job changeover and it's design which ensures that one operator can manage the entire operation from workflow to printing, we can say that it offers value for money.
Has it won you any new work?In today's world of multi-use, short turnaround, small lot printing, with its flexibility, we have got many new orders.
Who do you think it is suitable for?All of the features of the Truepress 344 are designed to suit the on-demand printer without compromising print quality or limiting the types of substrates that can be used.
Under what circumstances would you buy another?With increase in demand, we are investing in new four colour-offset press.
