Other: 2MMedia invests in flatbed Dilli in order to cater demanding market

Tanzania based, digital printing and manufacturer of custom signage products, 2MMedia has bought Dilli flatbed Neo Titan machine from Digimatrix.

Talking to PrintWeek MEA, group-managing director, Azim Somji said: "Our market is demanding such advancement in the advertising industry. As we are present in the market for the last 11 years, we would like to move ahead with the help of latest technological investment.

"We are planning to launch printed moulded designs, as we already have a moulding plant. We are getting elastic inks with which we can print with this machine. We are also planning innovative applications like swimming pool tile- printing etc.

Company has invested around $1 million since last year in machines like large format printer, CNC router and moulding machines.

Talking about the trend in the local market he said that the companies are now seeing the signage as the necessity for the business.

The company has started since 1999 as a sign manufacturer and then invested in printing machines.

"We are now a one stop shop for the signage industry. We are now sole suppliers for Pepsi in Tanzania supplying all their signage products from POS to banners."

Company has 45 employees based in Dar es Salaam and expects ROI of 3 years. 2MMedia is also planning to expand their business in Sudan, Rwanda and Kenya in the future.
