Agfa Graphics, manufacturer of prepress solutions & digital printing solutions, announces a successful second half year for its digital solution range in the MEA for the year 2013. Thus, foreseeing an optimistic start for the coming year.
With installations all over the region, Agfa Graphics exceeded its sales targets for the Jeti series in the Emirates as well as in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, Qatar, Yemen, Kenya and Uganda. Additionally, UV curable inkjet systems such as the Anapurna 2050 and Anapurna 2500, were sold in Nigeria and Côte d’Ivoire in West Africa, Lebanon, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates in the Middle East.
Manesh Shetty, sales manager inkjet, Agfa Graphics ME said, “2013 ended on a high with our first Jeti Titan 3020 installation in the United Arab Emirates at Robert Neon. We have an excellent portfolio that convinces our customers. I am looking forward to the SGI trade fair as we have special demos booked all days and expect a good turnout.”
Commenting on the Dubai Expo 2020 win, he said: “The announcement has definitely raised investors’ confidence, including the regional printing industry. Yet we understand that it will take some time for the actual benefits to materialize. We are ready for this exciting period”
Christian Reinaudo, CEO of Agfa Graphics’ parent company Agfa-Gevaert N.V., recently visited the renovated office located at the Airport Freezone, Dubai. It houses a force of twenty staff members and a dedicated service team of nine senior engineers.
Agfa apparently has a huge installation base of over 500 wide-format inkjet printers, located all over the Middle East, Africa and the SAARC region (Afghanistan,  Bangladesh,  Bhutan,  India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka).
