Agfa Graphics introduced a new CtP system to its partners in the Middle East and Africa.  
The Avalon-B8 thermal platesetter system was exhibited at the demo centre of Giffin Graphics.
In a statement released to the press, Afga stated that ‘the new Avalon B8-24 S can be seamlessly integrated with industry Agfa Apogee workflow and imaging on the innovative Azura TS plates, and will deliver affordable, good quality and care-free plate production for your commercial, packaging and publishing printing business’.
The Avalon-B8 combines manual plate loading with pre-staging and provision for an on-line processor, operating at 22 pph and line screens up to 240 lpi Sublima XM with any Agfa Graphics’ thermal plate (41.7” x 32.7” - 1060 mm x  830 mm).
At the recent SGI show in Dubai, Agfa showcased the performance of its Anapurna M3200 RTR UV, Jeti Titan 3020 flatbed printer, and their  new generation solvent inks among others.
