Other: HP unveils ePrint technology, other innovations in Cairo, KSA

HP Middle East has launched its multi-function web connected e-Printers that allow users to print from anywhere by sending an email to the printer's own email address, either from another computer or a smart phone. Photos, documents, tickets to shows and other such documents can be emailed from the smart phones or tablet PC's directly onto the HP enabled ePrinter, can be printed directly.

Among the new models are two entry level deskjet all-in -one printers code named Deskjet 2050a and 1050a. These models use the same ink cartridges as the Deskjet 3050a.

In another development, HP Saudi Arabia has announced the immediate availability of ePrint Enterprise on iPhone and Blackberry's from June this year while the application for Android smartphones for the EMEA region is available immediately.

The iPhone application for HP ePrint Enterprise and mobile print locations are available for download from the App Store, it was announced.

Other launches include 2 new and enhanced multifunction printers suited for the office environment and featuring ePrint capabilities. The LaserJet Enterprise M4555 MFP series improve document workflow and the LaserJet Pro M1217nfw MFP which includes print, scan, fax and copy functionality, as well as Ethernet and wireless networking standard. This new product also features innovations such as smart install, which enables CD-free driver installations in five minutes, and auto on, auto off.

"Customers need a partner that can help them solve issues," said Laszlo Czinege, general manager, Imaging and Printing Group, HP Saudi Arabia. "Our new technologies are designed to transform paper-intense processes into simple digital workflows, allowing businesses to identify new opportunities for growth.
