Other: Print training for team from Iraqi Ministry at PM academy in Cairo

The Iraqi Central Statistical Organization, which is part of the Iraqi Ministry of Planning, sent its team for a training course in the Print Media Academy Cairo (PMAC), also known as Youssef Allam Academy.

A customized course was developed based on the customer needs, namely the "Modern Concepts & Stages of Printing Production". This course, conducted in July, primarily focused on - the Printing process, printing of raw materials, quality assurance and problems of printed copies.

A total of four instructors conducted the training programme, with each instructor specialising in a certain module.

Participants consisted of six members of the printing industry, holding managerial and technical manager jobs.

The 3-week course consisted of a one-week training course in PMAC, followed by on-the-job practical training at Al-Ahram Commercial Press, and a concluding session of 1 week at the PMAC.

Participants expressed satisfaction at the benefits of the training programme.

"There was a good mix between theoretical and practical learning, using state-of-the-art Heidelberg machinery" says Thamer Kazem - data entry department.

Another participant also said that the programme had surpassed expectations.

"The course simply exceeded our expectations. I can see why PMAC is the best training center in the Middle East and Africa" said Hydar Reyadh - press manager.
