UAE based manufacturer, Al Bayader has opened a new showroom and warehouse in Damascus, Syria to cater to packaging market in Syria, Lebanon, Jordan and Iraq.

The new office which comprises of a 350 sq metre office and showroom and a 3,000 sq metre warehouse, is located at the Eighth Gate development, which is 12 kms from the city centre - while its warehouse is situated at the industrial zone of Sahnaya, to serve as a logistics facility for Al Bayader in Syria.

"Syria and the Levant are strategic areas in our long-term growth plan," said Nidal Haddad, CEO, Al Bayader International. "As we extended our geographic footprint from the UAE to the GCC, and now to the wider region of the Middle East, Syria is an ideal base from which we can serve the region.

"The Syrian economy is on an upward curve. With new banks being established, international hotel chains investing in new properties, and the food & beverage and retail industry experiencing rapid development - all of these undoubtedly provide us with a platform for further growth in this region," explained Nidal.

The company's head office was established in Sharjah while the first branch office was set up in Abu Dhabi in 2001.
