Other: Kodak launches GCG in Ethiopia with reseller

Kodak and its distributor Typotech Imaging Systems launched its Graphic Communications Group (GCG) in Ehtiopia during a ceremony hosted at the Hilton Addis Ababa.

The Ethiopian market predominantly comprises commercial and publishing printers. Typotech feels the Kodak solutions fit the Ethiopian market needs perfectly, as Alfred Kandarah, managing director for Typotech says: "The local market is ready for the Kodak prepress, press and workflow solutions. The output these deliver is greatly desired by local printers and publishers. With many print businesses in the territory currently using older systems, having access to the latest print technologies will enable them to operate more efficiently and improve quality."

Kris Capiau, commercial business manager added: "After researching the Ethiopian print market it became clear that many printers are making do with older equipment - the majority are using CTF, with very few operating with CTP and digital technology. This makes it a struggle to deliver not only the quality their customers expect, but also to meet the ever-shorter turnaround times."
