Other: Al Ghad buys software for last minute editing

Jordanian newspaper Al Ghad invests in software package for correction and last-minute editing of PDFs, as well as an ink saving tool, at the WAN-IFRA Middle East Conference in Dubai.

Mohamad Alayyan, publisher and CEO of Al-Ghad, and Ramsay McAllan, account manager Middle East at OneVision, signed the contract for a software package of Speedflow Basic Plus at the 6th WAN-IFRA Middle East conference in Dubai.

Wissam Makhlouf, production manager at Al-Ghad said: "During a series of consulting sessions and on-site workshops in Amman, it became quickly clear that an investment in software can actively support us in achieving our main goal: to become the undisputed market leader in Jordan. So the decision to acquire the Speedflow was very easy and swift."

The software tool consists of two modules; Speedflow Check is able to check PDF, PostScript, TIFF and EPS files and repair errors automatically and the Speedflow Edit offers full support of WYSIWYG and allows editing and optimizing of text, images, graphics and colour in PDF files.

OneVision sells software for prepress and premedia to the publishing and printing industries.
