Other: Canon ME showcased cost effective colour printers to resellers in KSA

Canon Middle East launched its cost effective colour printer imageRunner Advance C2000 series in the presence of 50 customers and automation resellers in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

"The launch of these new products puts us even more firmly on the industry map as the leading brand for colour and colour capable solutions. With businesses now making a strong transition to colour, we now have a product to match every specific business need," said Hendrik Verbrugghe, marketing director, Canon Middle East.

The two printer series C2030 and C2020, operate at 20 ppm and 30ppm speed and are available in light and full versions.

Among its other features are one touch workflows; USB multi-media support; an internal finisher; and a 2,000 sheet paper handling capability in stock weights from 64 to 220gsm.

Canon products will be distributed by El Ajou.

"What differentiates us from the competition is our smart approach to print. The use of colour is rapidly increasing in the workplace and through our intuitive products that sense when and when not to print in colour, we put businesses in control of output to ensure they produce professional-looking documents cost-effectively, without compromising on quality," said Sami Muflah, product manager, El Ajou, Canon's channel partner in KSA.

In another development, Canon ME installed the imagePRESS 6010 at Dar Al-Thaqafah printing press in Qatar, through its distributor Salam Technical, to handle the print shop's print on demand operation.
