Other: Perfect takes delivery of its 3rd m'roland sheetfed offset press

A subsidiary of the Al Nuqul Group in Jordan, packaging printer Perfect Printing Press, purchased its third manroland sheetfed offset press- a 6-colour Roland 706 LV HiPrint, in June this year.

Firas Awad, general manager-Perfect Printing says, "We have 3 printing machines and all of them are from Roland. That was the reason to invest another $ 3million in the new 6-colour offset press. We were keen to increase our market share, increase production capacity and expand into newer markets that motivated this investment. And also our employees are used to operating these machines so there was no need of any extra training. Also, we are satisfied with the after sales service offered by Dynagraph."

The sheetfed press has fully automatic plate loading as its special feature, and can print 17,000 sheets per hour. The machine has a coating module with anilox roller, chambered doctor blade and automatic wash up devices for inking rollers.

Established in Jordan in 1992, Perfect Printing Press is part of the Nuqul Group, and specializes in the production of packing materials including tissue boxes, pharmaceutical products, detergent packing, food and cosmetic packaging as well as labels, brochures and booklets.

The print shop exports to UK, UAE, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Sudan.

Awad adds, "We have ISO certification including 9001, 14001 and 18001. Our sales have been growing at 5% per anum and we do plan on further expansions in the coming years.

"The recession however, did affect us just like others. The effect was bad in terms of liquidity and turnover, in such periods you need to survive which means that you start sacrificing targeted profit margins to keep the cycle moving within your company."
