Other: Two printshops in Saudi invest in Roland's sheetfed offset printers
Two Saudi Arabia based printing companies Al Kifah Carton Factory and Al Nasher Al Arabi with different product ranges and print runs have decided to invest in the same system: the ROLAND 700 HiPrint.
Wanting to expand their production capacities, Al Kifah chose to invest in the 6-colour version to print cardboard packaging, while Al Nasher, a brochure and magazine printer, opted for the four-colour version.
Among the features of the Roland 700 sheetfed offset machine are the QuickChange options, that help shorten the makeready times by halving the cleaning time for the ink fountain and less wastage after a system restart.
Manroland also provides software to process printing jobs faster and a central order database to automize print jobs and an optimised production cycle.
While Al Kifah already uses a Roland 700 and have been manroland customers since the past 15 years, Al Nasher needed to be converted on consultancy from AlKhorayef group.
Launched at Ipex 2010, the ROLAND 700 HiPrint HS is manroland's highly-automated, 18,000 sph production workhorse, suited for long print runs in packaging printing and high-volume commercial printing. Among its other features are "One Touch" press control, a new dryer for efficient drying of inks and coating and the machine can print on a maximum sheet size of 740 x 1050 mm for maximum number off multiple-up images.
